"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "Plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 September 21, 2009, Juli invites you to join her team (Facing Giants) at the 2009 Dallas/ Ft. Worth Brain Tumor Walk on November 7th at Trinity Park in Ft. Worth. You may join Juli's team and walk 3.1 miles and/or donate money in memory of her sister, Jess. Jessica Gage Bonesio passed away on June 4th, 2009, after battling a brain tumor for 2 1/2 years. Jess was a sister, a daughter, a wife and a best friend to many. She was never selfish and loved unconditionally. In her journal she wrote, "God whether I get anything else done today, I want to make sure that I spend time loving you and loving other people - because that's what life is all about. I don't want to waste this day!" And Jess never did....She often supported the NBTS and last year helped raise money and start her own team for the Angel Walk. She was dedicated in taking part in finding a cure, not only for herself, but for other victims, families and friends who had to face this giant. Juli wanted to continue in Jess' path and help raise money for all of those who are still climbing this mountain and facing this battle. Juli would greatly appreciate it if you joined her in honoring Jessica Gage Bonesio by walking in her memory on November 7th. To sign up for the Walk, copy and paste the link below and click on "Join Julianne's Team". If you are unable to attend the Walk, click on "Donate to Julianne". Thanks for your support. We want Jess's name and legacy to be remembered by helping to fund research that will one day defeat this deadly disease. http://www.braintumorcommunity.org/site/TR/Events/BTW-TX?px=1661039&pg=personal&fr_id=1450&et=dYcAOSUpivqaBov6WLrvEQ..&s_tafId=31690 June 10, 2009 The family requests that donations be made to the Jessica Gage Bonesio LEF Scholarship Fund through Lewisville ISD. Donations can be mailed to Lewisville ISD Education Foundation, P.O. Box 643, Lewisville, TX 75067, Phone: 469-948-2022 June 4, 2009 It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Jess passed away at 1:50 a.m. She took her last breath with all of her family at her side. Phil.1:21-23 reads "For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better." This scripture suggests immediate departure of the soul after death and it gives us comfort to know that Jess is already in Heaven beside her Pops and Nani. In 2 Cor 5:8, Paul states "We really want to be away from this body and be home with the Lord." Again, we are reassured that Jess is home with the Lord! In a book that we received called "For these Tough Times" by Max Lucado, he states, "We do not like to say good-bye to those we love. But if what the Bible says about Heaven is true, then the ultimate answered prayer is Heaven." "It is right for us to weep, but there is no need for us to despair. They had pain here. They have no struggles there. You and I might wonder why God took them home. But they don't. They understand. They are, at this moment, at peace in the presence of God". And these comforting words tell us that Jessica did not LOSE the battle with her cancer but WON. She is not only healed again, she is in Heaven and that is a Victory. All of us want to thank our dear family, friends, and co-workers for the support, gifts, and especially LOVE that you have given our family over the past 2 and 1/2 years. Thank-you for loving our precious Jess. Stephanie, Ronnie, Juli, James, and Bo
